Privacy Policy

What we collect, and why

Demo. The free demo stores sample data (and anything you type into it) in your own browser's localStorage. It never leaves your device, and clearing your browser data wipes it.

Checkout. When you buy, we collect your email (to deliver your dashboard link and receipt) and an order record (what you bought, when, for how much). That's it.

Updates list. If you join the "stay in the loop" list on our landing page, we store your email to send product updates (new templates, new modules). One click unsubscribes you, and we honor it everywhere. We never sell this list or use it for anything you didn't ask for.

Your dashboard data. Everything you put in your dashboard — clients, invoices, content cards, settings — is stored in our database, keyed to your private access token. Only someone with your personal link can read it. We store it so your dashboard works across devices and survives a lost phone.

Payments: Stripe sees your card, we don't

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see, store, or touch your card number — the checkout happens on Stripe's systems under Stripe's privacy policy. We only receive confirmation that your payment succeeded, plus the email you gave us for delivery.

What we never do

• We never sell your data — including your client list. There is no data business here; the product is the product.
• We never use your clients, invoices, or business details in our marketing without your explicit permission.
• We never share your dashboard data with advertisers, data brokers, or anyone who isn't required to run the service.

Who else touches your data

Only the services required to run FreelancerOS: Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (hosting and database), and our email provider (receipts and your dashboard link). Each processes your data only to perform its job.

Your rights

Want a copy of what we hold about you, or want it deleted? Email info@mehyar.us and we'll take care of it. You can also export your entire dashboard as JSON from Settings any time — it's your data.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top and note it here. The version that applied when you used the service is the one that counts for that use.
